DISCONTIUNITY LOGBOOK ▪︎ Nina Todorovic

Curated by Jelena Matić
Art Gallery, Knez Mihailova 6
March 11 ─ April 12, 2025
Certain motifs and scenes present in the collages also appear in her video works and glitch art/gif animations. Nina Todorović conveys the fragility of being, memory, discontinuity and disappearance through a serene scene of sea waves on a beach or the smooth surface of a river, occasionally disturbed by interruptions or glitches. A glitch is nothing more than a brief and transient error in a computer system – one that corrects itself. It is also proof that the digital image, just like everything around us, is not perfect.
What is also crucial in Nina Todorović’s art practice is that her approach to presentation always goes beyond the space of the image and video, intensely including the gallery space. None of her works or cycles are planned, nor can they be viewed separately. Through structure, geometric forms, various photographs, maps, other content and details, her works correspond with the gallery space, transforming it into an exhibit in itself.
