Pianist Ljubo Divac won the Nevena Popović award of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade for the most important artistic achievement in 2020. Concert is organized in cooperation with Faculty of Music.

Biography:
Ljubo Divac (1990, Belgrade) had acquired musical knowledge in Stanislav Binički primary school of music in class of Prof. Ksenija Šijan. He continued his musical education in Kosta Manojlović music high school in class of Prof. Siniša Radojčić. Ljubo started attending the Piano section of Belgrade Faculty of Music in 2012 in class of Prof. Nataša Mitrović. In September 2016 he graduated on bachelor studies and enrolled master studies at the same faculty, which he concluded on Septembar 2018 with average mark of 10.0. Today he is on the doctoral piano studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. Throughout his pianistic career he continued achieving significant results by playing in many renowned halls in Serbia, such as Great hall of Kolarac, Gallery of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Kolarac Gallery, Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall, Artget Gallery, Hall of Student Cultural Center, Guarnerius Hall, Gallery of IIC, National Library Atrium and others. He won many prizes on national and international competitions, including the first prize on this year’s Sirmium music fest, first prize at the 25. International competition for young pianists in Šabac (2021), first prize at the International Music Competition Bonn and Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso (2021) and first prize at the International competition of young musicians in Zagreb (2021) where he also won the special prize for the performance of Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 111.
In October 2016, October 2019, and Jun 2021 he performed solo recitals in the Gallery of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. In November 2018, he performed the Gershwin’s Rhapsody in blue with the Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jelena Miljević. The Faculty of Music in Belgrade awarded him with the Nevena Popović award for the most important artistic achievement in 2020.
Simultaneously with studying the music, Ljubo enrolled and graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, becoming the Master of Science in Civil Engineering, where he is currently on the final year of the PhD program. He is currently employed in the international engineering company Stucky LTD.
