An old camper travels through a dark Russian province, carrying a teenage girl, her father and a dilapidated movie projector. They are on the road for a long time, wandering through eerie picturesque landscapes. She gets used to his melancholy and random adventures with women, he puts up with her whims. Everything changes when they head north. Their world squeezed in the cramped space of the camper, all the hopes, pains and hidden pasts finally explode.

Will they be able to establish a common language? THE Old Oak is a film about loss, fear and the difficulty of finding hope.
