Biography:
Igor Basta (Belgrade, 2004) finished his elementary musical education in Music school “Josip Slavenski” in Belgrade in the class of Professor Dejan Brkić, as a student of the generation 2017/2018. He continued his education in the same school, in the class of Professor Nenad Kondić and finished high school also as a student of the generation.
He continued his studies at the Royal Conservatory The Hague (Netherland) in the class of Professor Zoran Dukić. So far, he has won many awards at the national and international guitar competitions, of which the two first prizes at the National competition of guitarists of Serbia, two first prizes at the Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade, as well as the first prize at the International guitar competition in Volos.
During his education he attended master classes with eminent professors and artists, such as: R. Aussel, Z. Anić, C. Cotsiolis, M. Toumanidis, K. Tosidis, S. Prieto, M. Klaus, S. Assad, DJ. Bandini, R. Smiths, S. Tošić, R. Aguirre, M Tamayo, D. Martinez, T. Hurwitz, R. Bettencourt, D. Karajić, Z. Krajišnik, M. Janjić, F. Bernier, J. Zenamon, A. Mesirca and D. Illarionov.
He performed in the Artget gallery of the Cultural Center of Belgrade, in the Atrium of the National librariy of Serbia, Cultural Center House of King Peter I in Belgrade, Dom omladine Belgrade, the Belgrade Philharmonic, the German Consulate in Belgrade, Hungary cultural center in Belgrade, Opera Theater Madlenianum, the atrium of the National Museum and Kolarac endowment.
