Founded in 2024, the Tmusic-Char duo consists of a Serbian pianist Ksenija Tmusic and an American-British violinist Ryan Char, both based in Brussels. These enthusiastic young musicians met in the vibrant Belgian capital and have been creating music together ever since. The duo continually seeks to explore new repertoires and offers fresh interpretations of every piece they perform. Their versatile programming ranges from baroque to contemporary music, always aiming to tell captivating stories through their performances. Tmusic-Char designs concerts that transform each piece into a narrative experience, captivating the audience with their artistic vision. Guided by professors Guy Danel and Yuzuko Horigome, their dedication to excellence and innovative approach breathe new life into each performance, making a unique and engaging presence on the classical music scene.

Biographies:
Born in 2000 in New York, Ryan Char is an American-British violinist currently based in Brussels, Belgium. Known for his charismatic performances and musical insight, he has been invited to give recitals and participate in masterclasses throughout Europe, the United States, and Canada. His recent achievements include a quartet residency at the Banff Centre, where he received the Banff Centre Award, performances at the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and participation in the XXII Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander. As a soloist, he has performed in prestigious venues such as the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels, Benaroya Hall, and the Royal Academy of Music. Char holds a bachelor’s degree from the Royal Academy of Music and is currently pursuing a Master of Music with professor Yuzuko Horigome at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels. He previously studied with Joshua Fisher, Simon James, and Debra Zadinsky and has benefited from the mentorship of Nicolette Moonen in historical performance.

Born in 1996 in Belgrade, Serbia, Ksenija Tmusic is a pianist based in Brussels, Belgium. She began her musical training at the age of five. She earned her bachelor’s degree with the highest honors in Trieste, Italy, and pursued her Master’s in Ghent, Belgium, under professor Vitaly Samoshko. After graduating with distinction from the KASK Conservatorium in Ghent, she moved to Brussels to specialize in piano with professor Johan Schmidt. She is currently completing her Master’s in piano accompaniment under professor Philippe Riga. Throughout her studies, Tmusic has participated in numerous festivals and masterclasses, including the Ticino Musica Festival, Festival Musiq’3, Verao Classico, Academie Musicale de Morges, and the Stift Musical Encounters. She has collaborated with eminent musicians such as Anna Fedorova, Nino Gvetadze, Aleksandar Madzar, Natacha Kudritskaya, Dirk Mommertz, and Cedric Pescia, and worked with Pascal Moragues, Marianna Shirinyan, Daniel Rowland, Maja Bogdanovic, and Olivier Thiery in the field of chamber music.
