
Italian violinist Domenico Nordio has performed in many prestigious venues (Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle Pleyel in Paris), with important orchestras such as the London Symphony, the National Orchestra of France, the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome. During his long career Nordio held over 2000 concerts at 93 countries at 5 continents.
This concert is organized together with the Italian Institute for Culture in Belgrade.

Domenico Nordio has performed in many prestigious venues (Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle Pleyel in Paris, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Barbican Center in London, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo), with important orchestras such as the London Symphony, the National Orchestra of France, the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome, the National Orchestra of RAI, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Caracas Simon Bolivar Orchestra, the Istanbul Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, the SWR Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra, and the Moscow State Symphony, conducted by Flor, Casadesus, Luisi, Lazarev, and Aykal.
Among his recent engagements, notable performances include concerts at the Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest, the Municipal Theatre in Rio de Janeiro, the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires, the Zorlu Center in Istanbul, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Philharmonics of Kiev, Chisinau, Vilnius, Moscow, the Great Guild Hall in Riga, the Filarmonica Sociedad in Lima, the Sala Sao Paulo in São Paulo, the Manzoni Theatre in Bologna, the Melbourne Recital Hall, the Vigado Concert Hall in Budapest, the Tbilisi Festival, the Zaryadye Hall in Moscow, and the Auditorium del Sodre in Montevideo.
A student of Corrado Romano and Michele Auclair, born in Venice in 1971, he was a child prodigy (he gave his first recital at the age of ten). At sixteen, Nordio won the Viotti International Competition in Vercelli, with the legendary Yehudi Menuhin as jury president. After successes at the Thibaud Competition in Paris, the Sigall in Vina del Mar, and the Francescatti Competition in Aix-en-Provance, the 1988 Eurovision Grand Prix launched his international career. Today, Nordio is one of the most celebrated violinists of his generation.
