The Cinema Hall of the Cultural Centre of Belgrade (DKC) in cooperation with the movie theatres of Eurocinema from Subotica and LM Cinema from Šabac would realise a programme as a part of the Teen Kino project from September 2024 to May 2025. The Teen Kino project has been supported at the Collaborate to Innovate competition, which was announced in early 2004 by the Europa Cinema network.
The aim of the project is creating programmatic connections between initially three cinemas from three Serbian cities, with the idea to jointly act in acquainting young audiences with European cinema through different activities adjusted to youth’s interests.
Planned activities and programmes:
Teen Kino Day – introduction of a day dedicated European youth cinema and making it a part of the regular repertoire, where youth would participate in the selection;
The Best Teen Film – initiation of a competition for the best film by young authors, 14 to 19 years old, preceded by workshop in which they would be able to expand their knowledge about film;
European Documentary Film Catalogue – introduction of film as a didactic means in high schools, within the subject of civil education, preceded by making a catalogue of the documentaries dealing with the topics addressed in classes, in cooperation with teachers; possible classes in cinemas with film projections and discussions;
